Unleash Your Inner Wisdom: 7 Inspiring Journaling Questions for a Life of Insight and Clarity
Journaling can be a very useful technique
It can help us understand ourselves better and to bring forth our innate wisdom. Relying only on thinking about things tends to prioritise the left-brain intellect, which is only one part of our innate intelligence. Our thinking can often get us entangled and lost in cyclical thoughts.
When we write, we engage more parts of our brain and as with meditation, the thoughts can be slowed down. Sometimes a stream of consciousness happens and we come out with useful information we weren’t planning to write down.
Two journals?
My coach has two journals: one for simply letting off steam by venting and writing with no need to be skilful (the pages are then ripped out and destroyed); the other is for reflective and insightful writing, intending to gain greater understanding and access to our internal wisdom.
